1. Keep the wound covered overnight. You may remove the dressing the next morning.
2.Apply cold compress as frequently as possible for the first 3 days.
3.Apply a thin layer of ointment on the wound using a cotton swab, morning and evening.
4.You may wash your face, shower, and shampoo normally. Be careful of the wound. After 48 hours, the wound can be exposed to water.
5.Eat normally with no restrictions, except for alcohol.
6.Sleep with your regular pillow. Side sleeping is allowed, just avoid pressing on the wound.
Slight bleeding may occur within the first 24 hours, especially in patients with high blood pressure. Use clean gauze to gently press or apply a cold compress. It usually stops on its own.
Itchiness at the outer corner of the eye is often caused by suture ends poking the upper eyelid. This will resolve after suture removal.
Blurred vision may occasionally occur due to excess ointment or pre-existing vision problems.
