Postoperative Care

1.The wound is covered with waterproof plaster—you may shower right away.No need to change the dressing until the scheduled suture removal.

2.If the wound is covered with gauze—after 48 hours, it can get wet.You may shower as usual and apply a thin layer of ointment morning and evening.

3.Wear a sport bra and an upper chest compression band at all times, day & night,except when showering.

4.Activities—resume normal daily life: eating, sleeping, working,except for activities that require a lot of arm movement,such as lifting, driving, or reaching far.

5.Take all prescribed antibiotics.Take painkillers only when in pain.

6.You may eat normally, except for alcohol.
